Why Affinux

Built to be handed over, not held hostage

Plenty of agencies can produce a demo. The harder part is a system your team can operate, extend, and audit long after the engagement ends. That is the standard we build to, and it is why most of our work comes from clients who have already been through a project that did not go well.

Talk to an engineer
  • Senior engineers only

Every engineer on your project has at least six years of production experience. We do not staff projects with juniors and bill them as seniors.

  • Fixed scope, weekly demos

Work is broken into two-week sprints with a fixed scope and a working demo at the end of each one. You see progress, not status reports.

  • You own everything

Source code, infrastructure, and IP are yours from the first commit. Repositories sit in your organisation, not ours.

  • Security built in

Threat modelling, dependency scanning, and penetration testing are part of delivery. We have shipped SOC 2, HIPAA, and GDPR-regulated systems.

  • Transparent pricing

A detailed estimate before work starts and a fixed price per sprint. If scope changes, we re-quote before doing the work, not after.

  • Support after launch

Launch is the midpoint, not the finish. Support agreements include monitoring, guaranteed response times, and a named engineer who knows your codebase.

Process

How a project runs

The same five stages on every engagement, so you always know what is happening now and what is coming next.

  1. 01

    Discovery

    1–2 weeks

We interview your team, map the current process, and agree on what success measurably looks like before anything is designed.

    • Success metrics
    • Risk assessment
  2. 02

    Planning

    1–2 weeks

Architecture, technology choices, and a sprint-by-sprint delivery plan with a fixed estimate you can take to your budget holder.

  3. 03

    Design & Build

    6–16 weeks

Two-week sprints, each ending in a working demo on a staging environment you can use yourself. Feedback goes into the next sprint.

    QA & Security

    2–3 weeks

Selected work

Three projects, in detail

Each of these replaced a process the client had outgrown. The numbers below are measured against the twelve months before launch.

OperationsCircaflow

Freight operations platform

Circaflow ran a 400-vehicle fleet across nine spreadsheets and a legacy dispatch tool that could not be updated. Dispatchers rekeyed the same shipment three times and had no live view of the fleet.

We replaced the entire stack with a single operations platform: live vehicle tracking, automated route assignment, and a driver mobile app that works through dead zones and syncs when signal returns.

Health & fitnessFitmate

Member companion app

Fitmate's member coaching program depended on phone check-ins that coaches could not keep up with as the member list grew past 30,000. Missed check-ins were only discovered weeks later.

An iOS and Android app for daily habit check-ins, workout reminders, and secure messaging, with a coach dashboard that surfaces at-risk members first.

AI document assistant

Analysts at PoweredByCan spent most of each review manually reading statements and disclosures. Reviews took four days on average and the backlog kept growing.

A document intelligence system that extracts and cross-checks figures across submitted documents, flags inconsistencies, and produces a reviewable summary with every figure linked to its source page.

Testimonials

What clients say

References available on request. Every quote below is from someone who signed off on the project.

We had been through two agencies before Affinux and both delivered something that looked right in a demo and fell over in production. Affinux spent the first two weeks in our operations office watching how the job is actually done. The platform has run for two years without a serious incident.
PR

Priya Raghunathan

VP of Engineering, Circaflow

Working with member health data usually means a vendor discovering compliance requirements halfway through. Affinux brought them up in the first meeting and built the audit trail into the architecture. Our security review passed without a single finding.
DO

Daniel Okafor

Chief Product Officer, Fitmate

The estimate we were given at planning was the number we paid. Scope changed twice and both times we were re-quoted before any work started. After years of software projects, that is genuinely rare.

FAQ

Questions we get asked

Straight answers, including the ones about money. If something is not covered here, email support@affinux.com and a person will reply.

Start a project

Tell us what you are trying to build

The more detail you give us, the more useful our first reply will be. If you would rather just talk, email or call and we will find a time.

  1. 1

We reply within one business day

A senior engineer reads your enquiry, not a sales development rep. If we are not the right fit, we will tell you and suggest who is.

  2. 2

    A 30-minute scoping call

We talk through the problem, the constraints, and what you have already tried. No slide deck and no pressure to commit.

  3. 3

A written proposal in five days

Scope, architecture approach, timeline, and a fixed price per sprint, in enough detail to take to your budget holder.

Let's work out whether we are a fit

A 30-minute call with an engineer who has built this kind of system before. You will leave with a clearer scope whether or not you work with us.
